Kelly Roberts
President
Kelly Roberts was born in Portland, Maine. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from University of New Haven in 1997 and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Adult Education at Fordham University (2010). She has worked as an immigration specialist since 2002 and currently works at Fordham University. Before working in higher education, Kelly worked in the television industry at ESPN and Fox News. She has a special interest in getting youth involved with the United Nations and currently serves as Secondary representative to the UN for NAFSA, Youth Chair of the UN DPI/NGO Executive Committee and co-chair of the Youth committee for the UN DPI/NGO annual conference planning committee 2009 (Mexico). Kelly lives in New York City and enjoys international travel, hiking and spending time with her family in Maine.
Nicole Dolan
Vice-President
Nicole Dolan grew up in Gainesville, FL and moved to New York in the spring of 2004, shortly after graduating from the University of Florida with a BA in Business Administration and minor in Art History. Seeking to establish a sense of community and balance in the city that never sleeps, she started volunteering with NY Cares and found her niche in serving others. Nicole joined Rotaract Club at the UN in January of 2008 while looking to take her involvement to an International level and found Rotary to be a perfect match. In addition to NY Cares and RCUN, she is actively involved in teaching ESL through Columbia University’s Community Impact Program, assisting the promotions team on the board of the 2009 RYLA North America Conference, mentoring an amazing high school senior through iMentor, and serving as a team leader and growth group co-leader at The Journey church. She enjoys all outdoor activities(particularly those that involve water), brunch with friends, cheering for the Gators & Steelers and exploring new neighborhoods/cities/countries.
Cristina Fernandez
Secretary
Originally from North Arlington, New Jersey, moved to New York City in 2001 after graduating from Rutgers University with a BA in biology and minor in chemistry. She received her PhD in pharmacology from Weill Cornell Medical College in 2008. Looking for an escape from the lab, she joined the Rotaract Club at the United Nations in 2006 as a way to get involved in the community. She has acted as the club’s secretary for the past two years. During the day, Cristina works as a medical writer for a major advertising firm. She is still living in New York City and enjoys traveling, going out to eat with friends, and spending time with her family in New Jersey.
