Our next meeting is tonight, October 1st, from 7:30pm-9:00pm in the conference room off the main lobby at the Ronald McDonald House. The RMDH is located at 405 East 73rd Street, between 1st and York Avenue. Whether this will be your first meeting or you’re a regular attender or member, we would love to have you join us!

Our guest speaker this week is Claudia Maffettone, Youth Program Coordinator at the WFUNA office in New York. Ms. Maffettone will present on BluMail, a global email, education, networking, jobs, entrepreneurship and activism portal for millions who will be coming online in developing countries. Established as an alliance of NGO, private sector and United Nations organizations, BluMail seeks to be viewed as an alternative to Hotmail, Yahoo and other free email portals so that we may educate and inspire when users check their email through the BluPortal. Please note that this Saturday’s (10/3) event with International Community High School has been postponed until November, due to unforeseen circumstances. We hope that you enjoy your Saturday afternoon and will consider joining us when we volunteer with them next month. Also, the last day to sign up as part of the team for NY Cares Day on Saturday, October 17th is Friday, October 9th so if you are able to join us please sign up as soon as possible.
